While holding a fellowship, Ulrike furthered her studies in the visual arts at the International Academy of Painting in Salzburg, in the heart of 'Sound of Music' country. Her numerous engagements in the theatre have since led her to the Austrian cities of Vienna, Graz and Innsbruck. 

She has also participated in Salzburg's Festspiele, as well as in numerous productions in the opera houses of Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Ireland.
